SESSION OVERVIEW

We Have Always Belonged : Embracing Our Stories With Roots & Wings
Storytelling and testimonio have long served as powerful tools for healing, identity development, and reclaiming our voices. There is ancestral wisdom in our culture, lived experiences, relationships, and collective care. Yet, in this modern world, so many of us have become disconnected from our stories, our medicina, and one another. This disconnection is rooted in systemic inequities, historical and intergenerational trauma, and experiences that can sometimes take center stage in our stories and healing journeys. Each of us can make meaning of our personal journey, honor our identities, and explore which traditions, beliefs, and values are our roots and which limiting patterns and harm we are ready to alchemize, transmute and transform and allow to become our wings. You are, and can continue to be, a cycle breaker. Join us for this plática and keynote as we explore how storytelling and testimonio can help us collectively foster resilience, preserve collective memory, reclaim our voices, and inspire social change.
