Rise Up is a one-day conference with the goal of building community, awareness and understanding around racial and social justice issues. Racial inequality has been woven into the fabric of our society, but that does not make it okay. At Penny Lane we are working daily to bring awareness and attention to the issues that continue to negatively impact the BIPOC community. Societal ideas about racial equity must be addressed and must be changed for there to be true equity
