SESSION OVERVIEW

White Boy Privilege
Slam Poet, Royce Mann, delivers a passionate and somewhat controversial look at privilege and his white boy status. His 14-year-old perspective seeks to explore how deep privilege is embedded into society and how privilege serves some, but not all. Royce asks, why? Facilitated by Katie Mortimer, this plenary session will engage the audience in a discussion about privilege, while leaving space for you to examine your own privilege. What stories do our privileges tell? Where are you on the ladder and how will you use your ladder to build a bridge?
